Compliance

BYTEGRID’s data center solutions are compliant grade.

At BYTEGRID we pride ourselves on the commitment we have made to offering high quality solutions that adhere to industry compliance, such as:

ISO9001 - Quality Management Standard

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for the quality management of businesses. The ISO 9001 standard applies to the business processes that create and control the products and services an organization supplies. It prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met. By implementing a Quality Management System BYTEGRID motivates staff by defining their key roles, responsibilities and accountabilities. Cost savings are made through improved efficiency and productivity, as product or service variances are identified. From this discipline, improvements can be developed, resulting in less waste, inappropriate or rejected work and fewer customer delivery issues. Our tenants notice that orders are met consistently, on time and to the correct specification.

ISO27001 - Information Security Management Standard (ISMS)

ISO 27001 is a specification for the management of Information Security. It is applicable to all sectors of industry, government and commerce and not confined to information held on computers. It addresses the security of information spanning: Security policy, Organizational security, Asset classification and control, Personnel security, Physical and environmental security, Communications and operations management, Access control, System development and maintenance, Business continuity management and Compliance.

Information is now globally accepted as being a vital asset for most organizations and businesses. As such, the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of vital corporate and customer information may be essential to maintain competitive edge, cash-flow, profitability, legal compliance and commercial viability.

FISMA

The Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) certification and accreditation is from the U.S. government. U.S. government agencies are required to comply with these regulations. BYTEGRID operates FISMA compliant facilities. Based upon the needs of our clients we deliver FISMA Moderate and FISMA High compliant locations.

BYTEGRID’s physical security standards, policies and procedures help Federal agencies achieve the FISMA compliance they need. At the physical layer, BYTEGRID customer systems are secure in a hardened SSAE 16 Type 2 audited data center that has a minimum of N+1 redundancy on all critical infrastructure (Electrical and HVAC) with temperature and humidity controls. The data center is staffed 24x7 by security guards and only authorized personnel are granted access into the facility. Visitors into the facility must be escorted at all times by authorized personnel. All secure access points require card key and/or biometric screening. BYTEGRID systems are hosted in locked, protected areas that are monitored 24x7 by data center staff and via CCTV. >> Learn More

GSA ISC Level 4

The Interagency Security Committee (ISC) was formed by Executive Order 12977 to address continuing government-wide security for Federal facilities. The ISC’s mandate is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of physical security in, and the protection of buildings and civilian Federal facilities in the United States. The ISC standards apply to all civilian federal facilities in the United States—whether government-owned, leased or managed; to be constructed or modernized; or to be purchased.

SSAE 16 Type 2

SSAE 16 is an internationally recognized attestation standard issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that reports on BYTEGRID controls supporting the services provided to customers. BYTEGRID’s management developed internal control mechanisms to support first-class data center management that were used to complete the audit. Companies that are compliance sensitive and may require SSAE 16 compliance include publicly traded enterprises, financial firms, and healthcare organizations.

SSAE 16 compliance provides BYTEGRID data center customers with a high level of assurance of corporate controls and replaces existing SAS 70 Type 1 and Type 2 audit reports. KPMG, one of the top national accounting firms, conducted the BYTEGRID data center SSAE 16 audit over the twelve-month period ending December 30, 2011.

HIPAA

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) sets national standards for the security of electronic protected health information. BYTEGRID designs and engineers its data centers with multiple layers of access control including guard staff, biometric screening, digital video surveillance and customer-defined access control lists. Healthcare customers can be comfortable in maintaining HIPAA compliance because of the security and access controls BYTEGRID vigilantly keeps in place >> Learn More

PCI

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is a worldwide information security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The standard was created to help payment card industry organizations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise.

BYTEGRID designs and engineers its data centers with multiple layers of access control including guard staff, biometric screening, digital video surveillance and customer-defined access control lists. BYTEGRID's financial services customers maintain PCI-DSS compliance because of the access controls BYTEGRID has in place. >> Learn More

LEED Gold

LEED Gold certification demonstrates BYTEGRID's commitment to greater efficiency in energy, lighting and water use, as well as the utilization of recycled and reused materials during the construction process. The MDC2 facility design process focused on achieving a model of energy and material efficiency through numerous design innovations and green construction techniques.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an internationally-recognized green building certification system. Developed by the USGBC in March 2000, LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations, and maintenance solutions.
